As Mr. Nguyen Ngoc – a chief engineer who takes part in gold-plating Galaxy said: “It take from 3 to 4 continuous working hours to disassemble and gold-plate this phone.”
“Like other phones, by the plating tank method, firstly all items which need gold-plating will be disassembled, and then the engineers will have to deal with and activate their surface. After 10 different processes and stages, all items and frame are dipped into a tank of gold,” Mr. Ngoc added.
The cost of gold plating Galaxy Note is about from 6-8 million Vietnamdong/phone.
